🔹 How did we end up with social media that weakens social connection and increases loneliness?
🔹 What happens to democracy, trust, and communities when our digital lives are controlled by a handful of global platforms?
🔹 Why do Europeans consistently feel underserved by what American platforms are offering?
🔹 And does the EU have the ability — or the right — to chart its own digital path?
Presented by Ville Kiiski, builder of a new European social media alternative focused on European values and digital sovereignty.
An inspiring and conversational talk that clearly opens up the kind of thinking and practices today’s social media platforms are built on, the risks that follow from them, and how the situation is experienced especially by EU citizens. You can choose whether you’d like to emphasize the hopes and fears of EU citizens or the actions and responsibilities (or lack thereof) of the tech giants. If you’re looking for an even more tailored presentation, that’s possible as well. Get in touch and let’s discuss the options.
By booking this keynote, you directly support the development of a human-first European social media platform. Think of it as European digital defense.

This is one of the most important missions of our time. Join us today!
The event can be arranged either online or in person. For in-person events, reasonable travel and accommodation costs will be billed separately. If you wish to host a physical event, please get in touch well in advance so we can confirm travel plans and any necessary venue arrangements.
As our company is based in Tallinn, you may also choose to combine the event with a staff retreat. Organising seminars on Baltic Sea ferries is relatively straightforward, and a one-hour keynote fits comfortably into the programme even on a Tallinn–Helsinki crossing. There’s still time for a meal.
Please note that we aim to avoid flying whenever possible. For events located deeper in Europe, one full travel day in each direction should be reserved.
Remember to leave your contact details, or reach out directly, so we can agree on the practical arrangements.
